Yoga and Meditation Group Session Descriptions


Mindfulness Meditation Group Sessions:

In these sessions, you will learn about mindfulness and get to practice mindfulness by doing meditation. Mindfulness allows us to transform our inner world from a busy mind with uncontrollable emotions, to a place of peace and balance.

The class will typically commence with 30 minutes of instruction and information, followed by 30 – 35 minutes of guided mindfulness meditation and finishing with 10 – 15 minutes for questions and discussion.

  • Free if you have joined the Know Thyself Program
  • Mindful Movement Through Yoga for Adults:


    A very gentle Hatha yoga based class, exploring movement from the ground up in a mindful way. The sequence of gentle
    movements and postures will allow you to reconnect with the needs of your body and mind, leaving you feeling completely
    relaxed, reconnected and grounded. Each session concludes with yoga nidra (a form of deep yogic relaxation).

    • $15 for first 6 sessions then
    • $20 per session casual rate
    • $18 per session on 5 class pass ($90)
    • 17 per session on 10 class pass ($170)
    • Concession/Children/Teens/Family of 3+ $15 per session

Hatha Yoga for Children 6yo to 12yo:

A balancing Hatha yoga based class introducing postures, breathing techniques & yoga nidra to promote balance and relaxation
to children of this age group in an engaging way.

Hatha Yoga Chakra Balancing for Adults:


(These classes will resume later in the year. Please check timetable and facebook page for updates.)

Journey through the chakras, exploring the subtle body through postures, breathing techniques, mudras, sounds, scents, and
meditation. A full 8-week program runs each term with fully integrated weekly practices in between programs.

Ashtanga Yoga for Youth (High School & Uni aged young people):

An invigorating and dynamic Ashtanga Primary Series based class incorporating postures, breathing & relaxation techniques.

Yoga and Meditation Self-Practice:


Existing practitioners of yoga or meditation with a self-practice wishing to use the yoga studio are invited to join us. This is not a taught class, it is an opportunity for existing practitioners to come together to practice in a community-based setting. We encourage a silent environment. (Attendance is by donation towards the upkeep of the studio.)

Private Yoga Sessions (Children, Youth, Adults):


$95 per session casual rate | $90 per session on a 5 session pass ($450) | $85 per session on a 10 session pass ($850)
Private yoga sessions by appointment in our yoga studio or as a home visit. Therapeutic elements of yoga are integrated into a personalised practice plan to suit your specific needs to promote wellbeing and return to health.

Qigong consists of various static, dynamic, soft and hard meditative exercises that align movement, posture, breath, and mind intention.

Qigong exercises are time-proven and effective to create optimal flow of energy; reduce and eliminate the stresses of life by addressing your wellbeing physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically and eventually also spiritually.

Qigong is suitable for all ages, genders, lifestyles and bodily conditions, and is one of the few exercises that energises and supports you for the rest of your life.

10 week program from 27 Sept – 29 Nov 2018, Thursdays 6.00-7.30 PM (Class focus: Learning to feel and balance your Yin and Yang Qi and activate energy channels and centres)

About The Instructors


Sabrina David


All yoga classes are offered by Sabrina David, a Zenergy Yoga trained children’s yoga teacher, an IYTA trained Hatha yoga teacher, and a Ki-Atsu Institute trained Ashtanga yoga teacher. In addition to holding certification to teach yoga, Sabrina is a registered nurse and mental health nurse with a Working With Children Check.
Sabrina has extensive experience working alongside young people and adults and combines her expertise in counselling, general health planning, and yoga instruction to work alongside each person to promote wellbeing.
Sabrina is very fortunate to have been born into a family of yoga instructors and has been practicing yoga since early childhood. She is also a student of Sanskrit, and integrates the beauty of this ancient language into her classes.

Gabriel Pergamalis


Gabriel has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over 15 years. He recently attended a 10 day Vipassana meditation course and uses mindfulness in his Know Thyself Program as a form of therapy to help people overcome their subconscious conditioning and connect with their true self.

Gabriel studied and practiced the Thai Forest Theravada tradition with Ajahn Brahm for around five years by attending meditation classes, talks and a nine-day meditation retreat.

Gabriel has a diploma of meditation teaching from the Perth Meditation Centre. Having overcome long-term anxiety, Gabriel is passionate about helping others overcome stress and anxiety to find peace, balance, and happiness.
